A mandibular advancement splint (splint for short) can promote restful sleep, particularly in the case of harmless snoring and mild to moderate forms of sleep apnoea. Snoring therapy ensures that the lower jaw and tongue are moved forward. This prevents the tongue from sinking backwards during sleep and the slack throat muscles from collapsing. The airways remain clear, snoring and interrupted breathing are significantly reduced and in many cases even eliminated completely.
